You want a beautiful, well-designed, extremely green home that can achieve zero-net energy performance goals and can adapt to your changing needs over time. C2 takes the complexity out of achieving these goals. Want to get started? See below or contact us here.
Concept Two Prefab provides turn-key service for both the Mood Modern Modular and District Homes lines. We can assist with all of the steps in building your home, or you can choose to work with us for specific services a la carte.
We are currently working with financial institutions to provide energy-efficient mortgages for our clients. At this time, we do not have any agreements in place.
A home is a big investment, maybe the largest you have ever made. Consult with your mortgage agent and other financial advisors to determine your budget. A realistic budget is critical to the overall success of the project.
At your request, we will review potential sites for compatibility with our system. We can also perform a sustainability assessment of the site, including suitability for geothermal, solar, or other site-dependent services.
If you own your site already, go directly to step 3!
Working with your real estate agent, identify the qualities that you are looking for most in your site. Purchase your site, taking into account the total budget for your home.
Through a combination of meetings, interviews, and/or questionnaires, we will guide you through the process of setting goals and priorities for your home. Project goals include performance (energy and resource efficiency), function, social interaction, and, of course, aesthetics.
As you develop the goals for your home, be as honest with yourself as you can. Will you really be entertaining 20 people every Saturday evening? Is that formal living room for you or because you think it’s expected? Help us help you make your home ideally suited to your needs.
Since each Concept Two home is unique, we provide individual design services for each client. Design is an iterative process: our clients provide feedback and guidance at the end of each design phase.
Give us your feedback - let us know what works and what doesn’t. This is your home, so don’t be afraid to ask questions or request improvements.
C2 will work with a local contractor for building permits and site-specific work. Site preparation will proceed concurrently with the factory fabrication of your home, an important aspect in reducing the amount of time necessary between design and move in. Delivery will occur when the site preparation has been completed and the factory-built components are finished.
Watch your home get built! Seeing the parts come together and your home taking shape is what you have been waiting for. We have set a target of 20 working days for on-site assembly and finishing, although that may vary depending on the complexity of your home.
From the time we begin design services, you can expect the process to take about one to one-and-a-half years. As we build up capacity, the time from project startup to completion will be substantially reduced.
